The Vanishing Akha
Cultural diversity is a huge part of what makes the world and travel inside it an interesting place.
The Akha rarely have "official" claims to their land as land rights are considered traditional. Most Akha are not allowed to legally purchase land. The Akha are often relocated by the government to permanent villages, which rarely produce enough food to sustain themselves. |
