An opportunity to travel with a team of veterinarians to visit the remote encampments of the Tsaatan Reindeer Herders ​drew me to northern Mongolia.  I flew to Mongolia from Toronto to Ulaan Baatar.  We travelled by mini bus from Ulaan Baatar to Moron. From there we travelled to northern Mongolia by Russian jeep.  Finally, we travelled by horseback to several Tsaatan camps.  Over a one week period, we visited several camps where the veterinarians treated the reindeer and I filmed the Tsaatan lifestyle and veterinarian treatment of the reindeer.  Back in Canada, I cut two short documentaries for my website: one on the lifestyle of the Reindeer People and another on the Reindeer Woman.
