GUYANA
​I travelled to Guyana in the 90's to shoot this program for the Off the Map television series.

​​Mary Bray travels to one of the world's highest waterfalls in Guyana.  Join her as she treks through malaria infested jungles and pans for gold and diamonds in this resource rich country.

She continues her journey by boat and on foot.

Despite engine trouble, Mary continues on her journey by tractor and boat. 

Trekking through the jungle, Mary and her guide finally arrive at Kaieteur Falls 

Mary leaves Georgetown.

In the middle of the jungle, she comes across a small bar where she toasts her journey.​

Mary comes across a dredge mining for gold.​

She flies over Kaieteur Falls then back to Georgetown.

Despite her fear of snakes and malaria, Mary takes a jungle walk and visits an abandoned dredge.

She tries her luck at panning for diamonds.
​

Mary meets Traveller, a local "pork-knocker" or prospector.​
