 I travelled through Croatia (former Yugoslavia) by train from Belgrade to Salzburg, Austria in 1980.  I returned to Croatia in May/June 2023

The majestic arcade of Mirogoj, topped by a string of cupolas, looks like a fortress from the outside, but feels calm and graceful on the inside.*
