Feeling restless one day, I jumped in my car and drove from Toronto to Newfoundland.

Newfoundland and Labrador I travelled to Newfoundland for two weeks. Leif Eriksson and the Vikings landed in A.D. 1000.
The Vanishing Innu
Cultural Diversity informs and challenges the mainstream, and it offers alternatives for improvement.
For over 6,000 years the Innu were a nomadic people and were exceptional hunters and fishers. Now they are mere shadows of the proud people they once were, and their heritage is drowned in major social problems like high suicide rates, substance abuse and domestic abuse. |
Although they did not establish a settlement in Newfoundland they left evidence of their community in the mounds found at L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site.
