​Let's take a look at my travel-related projects; namely, a photo travel book, a travel television series, and a YouTube channel and a website:

UNDER ONE SUN  
A Photographic Tribute to People

Project 1: Travel Photo Book: Under One Sun
Between 1975 and 1983, I shot hundreds of black and white photographs worldwide.  Unable to find a publisher, I self-published a photo book called Under One Sun featuring 82 black and white photographs shot in 22 countries.  A limited edition of 1,000 copies were sold to school boards and libraries across Canada.

Project 2: Television Series: Off the Map
Between 1989 and 2003, I shot 29 travel programs for a 39-part travel series I created called Off the Map.  The series featured 39 ordinary women travelling to 39 extraordinary countries.  To reduced production costs, we partnered with 24 airlines and 40 tour operators worldwide.  The series aired in Canada, the United States, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Australia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.  I was nominated in Canada for a Gemini Award for ​Best Direction for an Information Program in 2000.​

Project 3: - YouTube Channel: Doug Spencer 
                    Website: DougSpencerVideo.com             
Beginning in 2012, I created a YouTube channel called "Doug Spencer" which now has more than 2,500 videos shot in more than 120 countries with more than 87,000 subscribers.  Shortly after, I created a website called "DougSpencerVideo.com" which includes photographs; all the material from my website; and additional information on television projects; published works; short documentaries; and so on.
